Well Invisible Children is officially a chapter closed for now, and I've moved on to the "I'm doing nothing but seeing people I love and going to new fun places this summer" chapter. Because you know what I've come to realize? This could be my last summer off ever. EVER. woof. So I'm going to make the best of it.
My Nanna is turning 95 tomorrow! What a celebration of life right? That's what we thought too, and that's why we got her Coldstone ice cream cake :) Tomorrow I'm taking Nanna out for breakfast brunch. Things get a little crazy here sometimes but it's been really good to spend time with the fam.
Having said that, I'm pretty excited to go back to Florida in June! I'm sure the excitement will wear off as soon as the 100% humidity and the realization that I'm living in Cape Coral kick in. But still, there are beautiful people in Florida that I'm excited to see :) Plus once I get to Florida, How It Ends is just a few weeks away!! How It Ends is a campaign in Washington DC where I'll be joining thousands of others to lobby senators and other politicians, informing them of the crisis in East Africa and asking them what they will do about it. Big things started at The Rescue, and are definitely still in the works. http://www.resolveuganda.org/node/844 We want to go check on progression and remind our government of the injustice taking place that we cannot afford to turn a blind eye to. After that, I get to see all my Lytton Ladies and Zana!
Then, quicker than I can imagine, August will come and that means grad school. I'm not particularly stoked on more school, but I'm in no hurry to start a career or anything like that so this is looking pretty good right now. If anyone knows anything about the PeaceCorps, let me know. Cuz I'm seriously considering doing that after graduating to get experience and get my loans paid off.
I'm not really settled with this entry cuz it seems like a lot of factual info about me splattered on a page, but if nothing else it's good for me to write it all down and have some kind of map of where my life is now and where it can potentially go. And to catch up whoever wanted to be caught up :) That's me right now, let me know about you!
